The short story is that Scott Morris is an acoustic singer/songwriter from Lakeland, FL. His debut album entitled "Two Weeks From Everywhere" was recently released on August 22nd, 2008.
The longer story begins in 4th grade when Scott took up the trumpet. It was fun, but in a family full of musicians that played CSN, The Eagles, and The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band - a trumpet did not prove to be very helpful during "fam jams". In high school, Scott learned the guitar and began his songwriting journey.
In college, at the University of South Florida, Scott moved on to be classically trained in vocal performance under greats like Jerald Reynolds and Robert Summer. Scott now has a BA in Music Studies from USF, along with a master's in Education & Human Development (with emphasis in Leadership and Administration) from the George Washington University. Scott is a high school music teacher and corporate music consultant based in Lakeland, Florida.
